Cheney was accepted to Ringling College of Art and Design for Computer Animation and later transferred to the University of South Florida as a theater major, graduating with her BA in Fine Art in 2001. Cheney has worked as an Executive Assistant to the COO of a Medicare HMO, Marketing Director for an ophthalmologist owned nutraceutical manufacturing plant and Art Director for an international recruitment marketing agency. Her specialty has always been graphic design until recent life changes gave her the option to re-invent herself. She is very enthusiastic to be pursuing a more fulfilling career working in the field of holistic therapy and psychology which has always been of special interest to her. She is a firm believer in the power of the mind over the body, and a strong supporter of the Eastern philosophy of medicine and treatment.

Having been both a survivor of domestic violence and watching loved ones suffer through addiction, she holds a very special interest in working with people going through difficult life transitions. She wants nothing more than to let people know that life can and will get better. In early 2011, Cheney forged a relationship with Patsy Evans with these beliefs and goals as the foundation for their friendship. Later that year, Cheney partnered with Patsy as the Director of Operations at HarmonyUs working towards their shared goals to reach out to as many people as possible to aid them in their healing process.
